Thank you to everyone who contributed to AHA during the Spring2ACTion campaign. We surpassed our ambitious goal of $30,000, earning $31,274 from more than 160 donors. Wow! We are humbled by the generosity of our members, volunteers, friends and supporters. Special appreciation to our matching gift donors who not only inspired others to give, but doubled the impact of all of those gifts.
Our friends, Laurent and Margaret Janowsky at Del Ray Cafe hosted us in their "kitchen room" for the 7th consecutive year and we so appreciate their partnership on this important day for AHA. Not only did they allow us to commandeer part of their lovely restaurant from sunup to sundown, but they also donated 7% of the day's sales to AHA. Please express your appreciation for their support when you dine there next!
We enjoyed a visit from Heather Peeler, CEO of ACT for Alexandria, who provided us with an update on other Spring2ACTion events around town and was optimistic that the $2 million goal would be achieved. And, indeed, the goal was surpassed with our Alexandria nonprofits raising more than $2.3 million during the Spring2ACTion campaign. Amazing!
